Michelle van Ruyven
Michelle is an intuitive sound alchemist, retreat leader and ceremonialist. She is an earth steward, multi-instrumentalist and the founder of Sound for the Soul, where she guides clients through deeply therapeutic sonic journeys, uniquely crafted to support inner work and self discovery. Her sounds and music are channeled from the heart and serve as a bridge, connecting participants to a deeper intelligence and healing ability - to reveal the inherent wisdom within.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Michelle is a Vancouver native who now calls Los Angeles, California and Sedona, Arizona home. A daughter to immigrant parents from Philippines and Netherlands, Michelle credits much of her heart to serve and passion for uplifting humanity to early influences from travel and her multi-cultural heritage. She has studied with pioneers in the world of sound meditation and sound therapy, teachers David Shemesh and Alexandre Tannous, who combine a syncretic Eastern and Western scientific, research-based approach to the practice. Michelle combine’s this approach with her own path of devotion acknowledging ancestoral and indigenous wisdom ways. Other influences include studies in traditional Tantra and temple arts in addition to the methodology, teachings and meditation research of Dr. Joe Dispensa.
Together with her husband Greg, they have created a nature-based retreat sanctuary in Sedona, Arizona rooted in a deep reverence and respect for the land they steward. Learn more about the Sedona Retreat.

Gregory Bell
Gregory Bell is an entrepreneur, integration coach, breathwork and sound meditation facilitator. He has mentored under the guidance of renowned Shamangelic and Breathwork teacher Anahata Ananda in addition to ongoing initiate studies in Kriya Yoga x the science of meditation under the lineage of Paramahansa Yogananda and Self Realization Fellowship. As a master space holder and retreat leader, he is a partner in Sound for the Soul and visionary behind the couple’s Sedona Retreat space.
Cat Davis
Cat Davis is a trained trauma informed somatic energy work practitioner and integration coach. She practices a unique form of hands on energy healing that combines ancient traditional Taoist practices with more modern techniques from the study of bioenergetics and her own guided intuition. Following a methodical process and moving along the body’s meridians, she acts as a conduit to invite the natural energy flow to return and awaken the innate inner healing abilities each participant holds. Cat takes a psycho-spiritual approach to seeing beyond the story and helping remedy the dissonance between where you are and where you want to be.
