The Sound Meditation

An opportunity to observe, refine, learn, heal, grow.

A 5 hour immersive journey into the subconscious through the power of meditation, deep listening and sound.

Participants are both empowered and supported with fundamental tools to navigate the inward journey, to disconnect from discursive thoughts & empower positive cognitive change.

Held within a private, safe and supported container, the sound journey is experienced lying down with an eye mask. This allows the active listener to better focus attention and truly journey within, inviting easier access to an expanded state of conscious awareness.

Build brain and heart coherence. Reclaim lost aspects of the self. Rehabilitate. Recalibrate. Reconnect to an inner intelligence.

Between stimulus and response there is a space.

In that space lies our power to choose our response.

In our response lies our growth & our freedom.

-Viktor E. Frankl

Space exists between external events - internal thoughts and our reactions to these events & thoughts in our lives. The more we can understand how to create and use space as a tool to override our initial conditioned reactions & behavioral patterns, the more we can respond to life with the capacity to choose consciously and from a place of presence and equanimity.

This is true freedom.

In sound meditations, we learn to listen to the silence between the sounds, the spaces between the notes, harnessing the power of silence, the power of space. Listening is an active experience. By learning how to listen, we learn how to silence the mind. Silence becomes space.

Space becomes the power to choose and create our realities.

Components of the Practice

..not your average sound bath

  • Participants will be guided through a short breath-work session using a powerful three-part breath that will enable you to disconnect from the “monkey mind” just enough to reach a heightened state of awareness and prime our consciousness for a deeper state of meditation. Inspired by Stanislav Grof’s Holotropic breathing technique that involves controlling and quickening breathing patterns to influence your mental, emotional, and physical state and access altered states of consciousness.

  • Using the voice, we’ll discover our unique frequencies of resonance and harmony, while tuning into the surrounding environment to deepen connection with Self and our interconnectedness to the world and those around us. Vocal toning naturally slows down the heart rate and calms the nervous system. It is a beautiful practice that nurtures self-expression, self-acceptance, restoration and release.

  • Using the power of sound, participants will be guided through a sonic journey that immerses the active listener into a place of presence, awareness and expansion using a beautiful arrangement of overtone emitting instruments (gong, Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, frame drum, Native American flutes, tuning forks and more). These rich overtones affect the brainwave cycles, neurochemistry, autonomic nervous system, heart-rate variability, and subtle energy in the body.

  • A fundamental part of processing and integration of each individual’s unique experience is being supported by the collective container. We always connect back as a group upon closing to share insights, revelations, thoughts, feelings, lessons and poetics about our individual experience. We find often times a piece of our own journey is reflected in another’s journey allowing us to learn from each other.

“If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes. Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder.”

Out of my head .. into my heart..

I've had the privilege of experiencing Michelle and Greg through sound ceremony two times now. Their guidance and expertise created an environment of profound transformation, where both times I felt a tangible energetic upgrade in my body and spirit. From the moment I entered the space they created, I felt enveloped in a sense of safety and trust. Their genuine care and compassion provided a nurturing container for deep inner work and exploration. As we delved into the ceremony, I could sense a deep shift occurring within me, as though dormant parts of myself were awakening and aligning with a greater sense of purpose and clarity. The healing I experienced extended beyond just my personal relationships; it permeated every aspect of my being. I found myself gaining a greater awareness of myself and others, fostering deeper connections and understanding in all my interactions. I come home from these as a better human being. I am immensely grateful for the transformative experience they facilitated. Their unique blend of wisdom, intuition, and compassion is truly a gift to those fortunate enough to work with them. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone seeking profound healing and personal growth.

What people are saying

I have experienced "sound healings" before, but this was way more than that. My first experience with Michelle was BEYOND! I have been actively trying to heal my childhood trauma and PTSD for about 17 years. I have tried traditional cognitive behavioral therapy as well as more "spiritual paths", but despite my efforts there are still several blocks I just can't get past. When I went into the ceremony I didn't really have any expectations, but In my first session with Michelle I healed a block that was my most troubling. I had a vision that instantly brought into focus the issue and through that was able to resolve it. It's hard to explain, but it was monumental. My second session with Michelle was also wonderful and provided much needed clarity. I plan to do regular sound ceremonies with Michelle as part of my mental health and spiritual journey. She is incredible at what she does. She is a true healer -her nurturing energy and immense talent creating healing sounds is a must for all of us seekers.
