Handpan Immersion with Miguel Hiroshi

If you are reading these words it's because you love sound, you love magic, you love connecting with others, you love traveling between sound frequencies and definitely… you love Handpans. This is an invitation to a 4-day Handpan immersion with Miguel Hiroshi, where we will deeply explore all of the above.

We are delighted to be collaborating with Miguel’s musical genius and to be offering a sound journey within the retreat.

The Immersion

If you are reading these words it's because you love sound, you love magic, you love connecting with others, you love traveling between sound frequencies and definitely… you love Handpans. This is an invitation to a 4-day Handpan immersion with Miguel Hiroshi, where we will deeply explore all of the above. The location, Sedona, is a place where time stops, a perfect environment to connect with our main intention: listening.

A Method for All

During this encounter we will get closer to our own rhythm and learn the tools to express it through percussion. Not just any percussion, the ultimate percussion form where rhythm, melody and harmony blend into one thing thanks to the possibilities of the Handpan. We will create music together guided by Hiroshi’s method, which is inspired by an ancestral technique from India and some other tools and techniques that he has embodied during his multiple journeys around the music world.

No music level is required for this experience but you will certainly need openness and good disposition to learn and go deep in the music learning and creative process.

About Miguel Hiroshi

An adventurous nature lover, a multi-faceted creator, a natural born educationist and a true sound alchemist. Through a wide path of experimentation and discovery, Hiroshi developed masterful sound sensitivity, the skill for creating percussive resonance from almost anything his hands touched. A deep connection to the invisible world of sound gives MH the ability to create Rhythm, Melody and Harmony with a large list of percussion, wind, string and electronic instruments. He has participated as composer, co-producer and instrumentalist in more than 50 studio recordings. As a performer and music educator MH toured in more than 40 countries around the world with his own music and teachings as well as collaborating with highly renowned artists. A pioneer of Handpan playing and teaching, MH developed his own vision and ways with the instruments since nearly the beginning of its creation around 25 years ago. As a teacher, Miguel possesses a worked-up knowledge and tools to influence anybody into creating music and going deeper into it regardless their skills or level. To Hiroshi’s way of seeing, Music is a game, music is joy, freedom, magic, a connection with the Divine, music is humor, Mathematics, music is the most contagious universal language.
